For more than two thousand years, Christian theologians have debated whether catastrophes and natural disasters are always signs of God’s wrath on humanity for collective wickedness, or only sometimes. In Genesis, we see the Flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah as clear examples of God’s judgment upon exceptionally wicked men. But Christ also pointed out that the people who were killed by a tower that collapsed were not more sinful than others. A Christian might also argue that all men deserve to die because of sin, and that those who do not suffer calamities are preserved solely due to God’s mercy and grace.

In the case of the Atlantis myth, there are two versions of the narrative from cultures on opposite sides of the Atlantic, where both agree that the downfall and destruction of Atlantis resulted because the Atlanteans incurred the wrath of the gods.

Plato preserved parts of the Atlantis myth in two of his dialogues, Critias and Timaeus. The shorter account is in Timaeus and merely summarizes the downfall of Atlantis.

In the previous chapters, I developed a theory that the Atlantean civilization was the City of Sidon’s overseas colony of Atlantis, which referred to the continent of South America, and specifically the Altiplano.

The priests of Egypt told Solon that the Atlanteans had invaded the Mediterranean as far as Egypt and were enemies to all countries of the Mediterranean. The only foreign enemy that had invaded Egypt in that timeframe was the Amalekite Hyksos’ overthrow of Egypt immediately after the Exodus. I proposed that the Atlantean hegemony was merely a component of the Sidonian-Hyksos Empire that had conquered Egypt in 1479 BC and then Akkad two years later in 1477 BC.

The Sidonian-Hyksos Empire was a coalition of Semitic and Canaanite tribes that ruled the Ancient Near East for about four centuries until their final defeat in the reign of King Saul.

Last month, we began to look at possible historical events that the Egyptian priests who told Solon about Atlantis may have interpreted as the Atlantean War. Gideon’s defeat of the Midianites, Amalekites, and Sidonians in 1251 BC marked the beginning of the downfall of the Sidonian-Hyksos Empire, which would take another 188 years to be completed. In this chapter, we will look at three more wars in that period, which step by step dismantled the Sidonian-Hyksos Empire.

When the Egyptian priests told Solon the story of Atlantis, they used Atlantis as a proxy to represent a larger coalition of Canaanite and Abrahamic tribes. Members of that coalition included the Sidonians, Hittites, Hyksos Shepherds, Gutians, Semitic Amorites, Kassites, Midianites, and Amalekites. While the Sidonians specialized in shipbuilding and trade, the Semitic coalition members were tent-dwelling shepherd cultures descended from Abraham. Being exotic and far away, calling it Atlantis made the story far more interesting, even if it is unlikely that the Atlanteans contributed anything more than a symbolic military force to the conflict.

The Israelite Exodus from Egypt in 1491 BC was part of a chain of events that set the stage for Atlantean Hegemony. The wealthiest tribe from the Outer Continent was later credited with conquering and ruling Middle Earth, which is to say, the land around the Mediterranean Sea. In reality, however, the majority of any fighting was done by the local tribes of the Hyksos Shepherds.

Plato continues his description of the economy of Atlantis. He describes several things that could be used to identify the location.

Orichalcum

Plato describes a metal called orichalcum which is an alloy of copper and gold. 

In the first place, they dug out of the earth whatever was to be found there, solid as well as fusile, and that which is now only a name and was then something more than a name, orichalcum, was dug out of the earth in many parts of the island, being more precious in those days than anything except gold. 

Even today, the copper mined in the region of Peru, Bolivia, and Chile is found naturally alloyed with gold. The natives of that region used a process to make beautiful images from this metal.  They would cast the metal to the desired shape and then treat it with an acid.  The acid removed the copper atoms from the surface, leaving a shining surface of pure gold. Then they would polish the surface until it was gleaming.

Plato described the temple in the city of Atlantis as, “glinting with the red light of orichalcum.”

While historians knew about orichalcum from Greek legends such as Atlantis, it had never been found in the Mediterranean until a shipwreck was discovered in 2014.  This wreck, off the coast of Sicily, sank in the seventh century BC, and contained a cargo of gold ingots which were alloyed with copper. In the region of Peru and Bolivia many artifacts of this alloy have been discovered, as seen in figure 13.

In the second chapter, I made the case from ancient records that the world was divided into four quarters by the patriarchs after the Flood, and then divided into smaller sections by casting lots.  This division of the world divided South America in half, on a line passing through Cusco and Nazca toward Easter Island.   

According to this theory, to the North of the line was the quarter of Shem, whose descendant Joktan seems to have his name preserved in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and whose son, Ophir, may be remembered in the name of Manco Opiru of Peru.

Canaan’s portion appears to have been the Southern half of South America.  The lot which fell to Poseidon is described by Plato as a continent that fits the description of South America.  The Bible, the Book of Jubilees, and Plato’s Atlantis seem to agree with each other on this point.

A British researcher named J. M. Allen has published several books making the case that South America was the continent of Atlantis and that the capital city was located at the site of Pampa Aullagas on the Altiplano in modern Bolivia.  His works can be accessed at

I generally agree with Allen’s thesis and credit him as the originator of this important part of the historical theory presented here. However, he probably does not agree with my biblical-historical framework for Atlantis, nor with my geopolitical analysis of the modern Atlanticist axis. Returning to the story of the Sidonians, we found some evidence that the unipolar Tower of Babel project was dispersed by the confusion of languages, combined with a local volcanic eruption and earthquake.  This was recorded by Pompeius Trogus, who wrote about the origins of the people of Tyre and Sidon. (Justinus, Book 18)

The nation of the Tyrians was founded by the Phoenicians, who, suffering from an earthquake, and abandoning their country, settled at first near the Syrian lake, and afterward on the coast near the sea, where they built a city, which, from the abundance of fish, they named Sidon, for so the Phoenicians call a fish in their language. 

This account of the colonization of Palestine by the Sidonians nearly perfectly matches the archeology of the Natufian Culture, which was part of the Prepottery Neolithic Era.  The “Syrian Lake” where they first settled may have been either the Sea of Galilee or an older lake, now dried up, near the Syrian city of Homs in the Orontes River valley. Some of those original settlements have been found by archeologists as part of the Prepottery Neolithic A culture in Palestine and Syria.

It also appears that Naamah instituted temples with fertility rites and cult prostitutes as she had learned as a child from the religion of Cain. The Epic of Gilgamesh mentions that the temple priestesses raised orphan children.  This is also mentioned later in the story of Sargon of Akkad.  How could an orphanage be a bad thing? Well, naturally, if there is a religion where the priestesses have sex with many worshippers, then when they get pregnant and have children, the father is unknown.  Those children would be raised by the temple.

Through the writings of Eusebius, this fragment of Eupolemus preserved the Babylonian legend of Babel: (Cory’s Fragments) 

"The City of Babylon owes its foundation to those who were saved from the catastrophe of the Flood; these were the giants, and they built the tower which is noticed in history.  But the tower being overthrown by the interposition of god, the giants were scattered over the earth.”

The Greek tradition of the Sibylline Oracles agrees:

"But when the Judgements of Almighty God

Were ripe for execution; when the tower 

Rose to the skies upon Assyria's plain,

And all mankind one language only knew:

A dread commission from on high was given

To the fell whirlwinds, which with dire alarms

Beat on the tower, and to its lowest base

Even the myth of Atlantis seems to be based on two different historical events. The first was a world with an advanced civilization that was destroyed by the Flood.  The survivors of this Flood possessed knowledge in the form of a library, or hall of records, which enabled certain groups such as the Egyptians, Sumerians, and Sidonians to reproduce the more ancient system of measurement and technologies. 

The second event, and the primary one that Plato wrote about, was the rise of Atlantis on the Outer Continent as a Sidonian colony, its temporary domination of the center of the world, followed by its decline, and the destruction of the capital city by a localized cataclysm.

Before we dive into the details of Atlantis, the context that led to its rise must first be understood. We have many ancient traditions which tell us that after the Flood the world was divided among the patriarchs.  Rather than one central government to rule the world, it was divided into seventy sovereign nations.  Each nation was responsible directly to God for their own actions.  Therefore each nation had its own land, as well as its own king and priesthood.   We will examine the evidence for this in this chapter.

Though the ancient traditions did not use this word to describe it, this arrangement was the original multipolar order.  The fact that it was attributed to the command of God means that multipolarism is arguably the oldest geopolitical system with a claim to divine authorship.

It has been said that we cannot understand the present without knowing the past.  He who controls the past controls the future.  

In the story of Atlantis Plato related a story told to his grandfather by the priests in Egypt.  They said that in the distant past, a great civilization called Atlantis arose on the outer continent.  Rich in minerals and specializing in trade, they became fabulously wealthy.  Their city was built with wisdom and was the most magnificent in the ancient world. However, with wealth came corruption. 

At the apex of their power, the Atlanteans invaded the Mediterranean Sea all the way to the Delta of Egypt. Thus the people of the outer continent controlled the center of the world for a time.  As the Atlantean civilization descended into a moral abyss, their corruption offended the gods. First, they were defeated in war, and soon after their island capital was destroyed by the physical abyss of the sea. 

In the twentieth century of the Christian era, another great power arose on the outer continent.  Through diligence and trade, the United States of America became the wealthiest nation on Earth. This was not a mere historical accident. It was the result of centuries of planning by a small but powerful religious order from the Old World. After the Great War, America found itself holding most of the world’s gold and boasted of having the world’s largest navy. With the Bretton Woods Agreement, the US Dollar became the world’s currency.  Holding three aces in their hand, it was not long before this privilege was abused.
